Rakesh Dehury is Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Skills Caravan, a forward-thinking learning experience platform. With over 17 years of deep expertise in the banking and financial services sector, Rakesh brings a rare combination of domain knowledge, risk insight, and technological vision to the company. His leadership is anchored in rigorous analytics, risk modeling, and a strong commitment to building scalable, meaningful learning solutions.

Before co-founding Skills Caravan, Rakesh honed his skills in portfolio management and credit risk at several leading financial institutions. He has specialized in risk modelling, building and validating credit risk models that adhere to Basel regulatory standards. His experience spans across developing models for Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD), as well as validating these models — a process critical for regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

In his role at Skills Caravan, Rakesh is responsible not just for technological architecture, but also for ensuring that the company’s AI-driven learning solutions are built on a foundation of data integrity, predictive rigor, and business risk sensitivity. His background makes him uniquely capable of bridging the gap between finance and edtech — designing systems that are not only technically robust, but deeply informed by real-world financial risk practices.

Rakesh is an alumnus of XIM Bhubaneswar, where he completed his undergraduate education. His academic foundation, combined with his rich industry exposure, gives him a strong perspective on both emerging technologies and traditional banking risk frameworks.
